Static Caravans
'Not-so-tiny' homes
In 2023, Puketapu Caravan Sales began importing Static Caravans – also known as ‘not-so-tiny’ homes.
This was after Hawkes Bay was hit by Cyclone Gabrielle, and Jasen Syms’ (Owner, Puketapu Caravan Sales) own home was destroyed by the Tutaekuri River bursting it’s banks, leaving Jasen and his family to escape from floodwaters in the early hours of the morning, narrowly escaping with just moments to spare.
As temporary accommodation, Jasen and his family moved into a static caravan whilst they rebuilt their home.
